POOL ADVANTAGES & SAFETY
Trevi Pools & Spas is locally owned and operated. The owners have a hands-on approach being onsite during the construction of your new pool.
GATHERING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
A pool is a delightful place to spend time with the whole family. Where people of all ages can enjoy time together splashing and playing. Your family and friends can be invited over to enjoy a gathering around the pool rather than just eating food, like at most barbecues.
KEEPING ACTIVE IN YOUR BACKYARD
A swimming pool is a place in which you can get many kinds of workouts all in one place. Swimming is one of the best low-impact exercises, cardiovascular exercise gets your heart rate up, and your lungs get a workout. As an alternative to joining a gym, using your swimming pool can allow you to work and have fun by doing laps, playing with your kids or a great game of volleyball with your neighbours.
There is research to suggest that simply being around a body of water may help you to relax and daily relieve stress. Once you jump in to the water, the benefits are even more intense. Just a couple of laps may release endorphins that increase feelings of wellbeing. Swimming also encourages the same physiological relax response as yoga and stretching exercises.
Very knowledgeable staff. Great products for great prices. I would highly recommend calling them if you are looking for a pool or hot tub.
GENERAL POOL SAFETY
Controlling access to the pool is the surest way to prevent accidents. Whether you already own a pool or are considering purchasing one, its access must be controlled. Each pool owner is responsible for limiting access to his pool and ensuring constant supervision.
Most important, be sure to store your pool products out of children’s reach.
Some suggestion to ensure your safety when using the pool. Good sense suggests establishing safety rules around the pool. Read these rules at the beginning of each season. The following are a few suggestions:

RULES TO ENSURE SAFETY
Avoid running, pushing and horseplay around the pool.
Take a shower before going swimming. This will decrease the quantity of bacteria and contaminants you introduce to the pool.
Limit diving off the edge of the pool and shallow end.
Keep a buoy or life saving pole close to the pool.
Keep glass and other fragile objects away from the pool area.
Don’t go swimming when there is thunder or lightning.
SAFETY FOR CHILDREN
Identify shallow areas where it is safe for very young children to play.
Make sure that an adult is present to supervise the children all the time they are in the pool.
Install a fence around the pool or a security cover. (Your municipality may also require a fence).
IN THE EVENT OF EMERGENCY
Always keep a well stocked first aid kit nearby (but out of reach of children).
It should be stored in a location that is clearly identified and easy to reach.
Keep an instruction sheet describing mouth to mouth resuscitation close to the pool. Make sure these instructions are waterproof.
Encourage all the members of your family to learn the mouth to mouth technique.
Ensure emergency phone numbers are recorded in your telephone’s memory.
